(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — To celebrate the U.S. Air and Space Force’s newest 2nd Lietenants, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds roared across Colorado Springs on Thursday, May 30 after the Class of 2024 graduation ceremony came to an end.
The Thunderbirds arrived at Peterson Space Force Base on Tuesday, May 28 as they geared up to practice ahead of graduation. “It’s an honor to have these elite pilots here to inspire and support our graduating cadets,” said Peterson SFB in a post on Facebook. “Their presence adds a special touch to this significant milestone.”
On Thursday, the Thunderbirds performed a traditional flyover of Falcon Stadium during the hat toss at graduation followed by an aerial demonstration. In case you missed seeing the Thunderbirds, FOX21 Photojournalist Lilia Onstott captured several videos in Colorado Springs.
