(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — Tommy Knocker play land, located inside the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, is fun for both kids and kids at heart.
The play land was rebuilt 11 years ago after a wildfire burned down the structure, but now it has been updated for new adventures.
“Two through 10 or 12 can enjoy this, but it really is about your size. If you’re a smaller adult, you might actually like our play land,” said Brooklyn Osborne, the Marketing and Communications Director for the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.
The play land opens fully for the summer on May 1, but runs on limited hours through the winter.
The main attraction is the huge multi-level playground with slides, monkey bars, and rope rooms.
The play land also features Daisy’s Carousel with lights and sounds, a miner’s exhibit, point and shoot games, a mini playground for younger kids, and a Splashpad.
There is a Mountain Man’s beer garden nearby so the adults can grab a cold drink while their kids run off some energy.
The Play land is completely free and is included in the park’s general admission!
