Etiquette

Etiquette and safety guidelines are in place to ensure guest safety and to avoid distracting players and other fans.

Guests should not make rude, vulgar, or other inappropriate comments or gestures, verbally or physically harass players, volunteers, officials, or fans, or yell or distract a player or cause any other sort of disruption.

Fans may carry mobile devices 7″ or smaller, but must have the volume set to “silent” or “vibrate,” and camera flashes must be disabled. Phone calls should be limited to areas away from play and not in any area that may disrupt play, including grandstands.

Guests can use photography, video, and audio recording, but may not use the content for commercial purposes. Live-streaming or shot-by-shot coverage of any player is not permitted at any time.

Guests should stay behind the gallery ropes and always follow the directions of the championship marshals. Crossing fairways is only allowed at designated crosswalk areas.

Guests in the front row of the gallery should kneel or sit to allow those behind them a clear view, and guests should remain quiet and still when players are about to hit the ball or when instructed by marshals.

Guests should respect each player’s focus on preparing for and playing in the championship, so autographs should only be sought at designated autograph zones or at the completion of the player’s round. On-course autographs are not allowed at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, tees, fairways, greens, and practice areas.

Guests who do not comply with the above guidelines risk expulsion and loss of ticket privileges for the remainder of the championship.
