(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A weak cold front early Thursday morning on Feb. 15, which pushed against the foothills in the Pikes Peak Region, produced low clouds as the day began.
Air being forced upward by the terrain cools the air and causes water vapor to condense into small drops, forming clouds. A timelapse of the clouds can be viewed in the video player above.
Meteorologist Ryan Matoush also shared a video of the low clouds on X (formally known as Twitter) around 9 a.m. on Thursday.
The clouds will continue to dissipate on Thursday morning.
