(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The Manitou Springs Fire Department (MSFD) said it will conduct a wildland fire training exercise on Sunday, June 29.
According to MSFD, the wildland training will take place on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Deer Valley Park. MSFD said those living in the area may notice smoke and fire equipment, but wants to reassure the public that the activity is part of a scheduled training exercise and not an emergency.
“The City of Manitou Springs appreciates the public’s continued cooperation and understanding during this essential training activity,” wrote the City of Manitou Springs.
