With Bo Nix at quarterback, Broncos look to upgrade roster at NFL combine

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Broncos have arrived at the 2025 NFL combine in Indianapolis.

Head Coach Sean Payton, General Manager George Paton and their staffs will now focus on finding the pieces to upgrade the Broncos roster.

And for the first time in decades, Denver has a continuity: coach, general manager, owner and quarterback Bo Nix.

“Obviously with a young quarterback in place, it’s a little clearer than it was this time last year,” explained Payton as he chatted with reporters.

On Tuesday’s ‘Colorado Sports Night’ Troy Renck from The Denver Post said the number one goal this offseason is to help Nix improve from year one to year two.

“The arrow is pointing upward. The Broncos feel the strengths of their team are the offensive and defensive lines. So, they have this really good base. Now you have to add the other elements that can make you special,” Renck said. “They have the meat and potatoes, now you need the salt and pepper.”
