(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the World Arena team member killed in the Feb. 27 bus crash as 67-year-old Charles Verderaime.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 11:54 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Bob Johnson Drive and Willwood Road near the Broadmoor World Arena about a crash involving a pedestrian and a bus.
When police arrived, they determined Verderaime was run over by a bus and was pronounced dead on the scene. On Friday, Feb. 28, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy and identified Verderaime as the victim of the crash.
The Broadmoor World Arena confirmed to FOX21 News that Verderaime was an employee.
