(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Kids buzzed with excitement as Soccerhaus Sports and Events Center hosted its 5th annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 19.

The free community event welcomed both children and adults for a fun-filled day featuring a live DJ, bounce houses, exciting prizes, photo ops with the Easter Bunny, and a massive Easter egg hunt.

Organizers provided a whopping 50-thousand eggs during the event, with each child collecting around a dozen eggs to take home.

“We’re really proud of the hunt this year, we didn’t just lay the eggs on the ground, we have obstacles and things the kids have to find,” said Samantha Sargent, Organizer for the Easter Eggstravaganza. “And then we have a nice area where they can come and open up their eggs, bond as a family, and see what surprises they have.”

The event welcomed more than 950 kids this year, and organizers said they’re excited to see it grow even bigger in the years to come.
