(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — The Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) is asking the community to be on the lookout for a missing 67-year-old man who was last seen at his home in the Downtown area on Monday, May 6.
According to CCPD, 67-year-old James “Jim” Melies was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon after he was last seen around 8:30 p.m. at his home in the 700 block of Royal Gorge Boulevard, in the Downtown Historic District.
CCPD said Melies’ friends report that he frequents the Cañon City Public Library as well as the Arkansas River.
Melies is described as 5’9″ tall and may be wearing a gray “Rocky Mountain” windbreaker and a blue ball cap. CCPD asks anyone who thinks they may have seen Melies or who knows of his whereabouts to contact police at (719) 276-5600.
