6th Annual “Empower HER” feminine hygiene drive scheduled for August

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A feminine hygiene drive will be hosted next month by HER Society in Colorado Springs and 100% of all ticket sales and items collected at the event will go directly back to the local community including schools and nonprofits.

According to Sara Colangelo, Co-Founder of HER Society, the 6th Annual “Empower HER” feminine hygiene drive will be hosted on Thursday, Aug. 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Venue At Almagre, which is located at 2460 Montebello Square Drive. The year’s theme is “Extraordinary Women in History.”

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this initiative, and I know that together we can make a difference,” said Colangelo. “Every little bit counts and every donation will make a difference in someone’s life.”

The event will feature an evening of glam, dancing, and fundraising, and tickets must be purchased in advance and accompanied by two donation items including; tampons, pads, or new underwear. The gathering will also feature inspiring speakers and networking opportunities.

“This drive is an opportunity for us to come together and make a meaningful impact in the lives of women in our community,” said Bre Rinkema, Co-Founder of HER Society. “By donating feminine hygiene products, we can help ensure that every woman has access to the products she needs to feel clean, comfortable, and confident.”

There are also opportunities to be a sponsor for the event, with three packages to choose from. You can learn more about each sponsorship package by clicking the link above.

If you’re unable to attend the event but would still like to donate to the cause, you can send products from where you are via the event’s Amazon Wish List.
