Exodus Road introduces new parent academy to combat online threats to kids

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This month’s Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado meeting will feature Sarah Ray, Global Director of Education and Aftercare for Exodus Road, who said she plans to discuss the organization’s new parent academy it is launching later this month.

“Influenced Parent Academy” is an online course designed to help parents understand the dangers their kids may face in the online world and how to respond. Topics include sexting and sextortion, cyberbullying, mental health, grooming, and human trafficking. More information can be found at influenced.org.

The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado holds meetings every second Tuesday of the month, featuring a different speaker each time. The meetings are open to the public and free to attend. This month’s meeting is Tuesday, June 11 at Reclaiming Hope, located at 615 Wooten Road, Suite 140, and is set to begin at 5:45 p.m.

The Exodus Road will launch the Influenced Parent Academy next week on Monday, June 17.
