Motorcyclist killed in stunt performance in parking lot

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A rider was killed in a deadly motorcycle crash after performing stunts in an empty parking lot on Saturday, July 27, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that emergency personnel responded to the parking lot of 6867 Crest Hill View, near East Woodmen Road and North Academy Boulevard, around 10 p.m. on Saturday, where they determined that the motorcycle rider was deceased.

The investigation revealed that the rider had been attempting stunts in the parking lot and lost control, hitting a concrete retaining wall and falling into a residential backyard. The Major Crash Team responded and assumed the investigation. The parking lot was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
