Live wildfire updates: Lake Shore Fire burning near Gross Reservoir

DENVER (KDVR) — The Lake Shore Fire in Boulder County was the fourth fire to spark along the Front Range in Colorado this week. As of 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Lake Shore Fire was at six acres with 0% containment.

The fire sparked near the popular Gross Reservoir on Wednesday, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office believes it was human-caused. The investigation is underway but authorities said the cause appears to be accidental.

The fire continues to burn in the northwest corner of the reservoir, about 11 miles away from downtown Boulder.

A mandatory evacuation is in place for the Lake Shore Park neighborhood Thursday morning.
