(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is on the scene of a hazmat incident on West Garden of the Gods Road, just west of the intersection with Centennial Boulevard.

According to CSFD, crews were called to the 1900 block of W. Garden of the Gods Rd. regarding the hazmat incident and were on the scene just after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1.

One building in the area is being evacuated and crews are asking drivers and the community nearby to avoid the area as crews continue to work.
