(COLORADO) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said scam texts are being sent out, stating that the receiver has tolls that can be paid by clicking a link in the text.

CDOT said the texts say that FastTrak Lane tolls needed to be paid by Jan. 22 and to avoid a fine the user can pay the tolls at a link in the text.
CDOT wants the public to know that Express Lanes tolls or fines are not collected by text and all fees will be billed and paid directly through your ExpressToll account.
