(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a motorcycle vs. car crash on Saturday, March 1, that left one injured.
At around 11:24 a.m., the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communication Center began receiving 911 calls about a crash involving a motorcycle on northbound Academy Boulevard north of Bradley Road. Initially, the Colorado State Patrol, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado Springs Fire Department responded, and CSPD took over the investigation of the crash.
According to the police department, a driver who was traveling southbound became impatient with waiting on the delays that roadwork was causing and drove over a raised median then a northbound motorcycle struck the side of the car.
CSPD said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at the moment. The driver was cited for the crash.
