Vista Ridge preps for stiff home opener and continued winning culture

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — High school football practices are resuming in Southern Colorado, with Vista Ridge amping up urgency for its daunting home opener.

Coming off its fifth consecutive winning season, Vista Ridge prepares to host Columbine, the 5A state runner-up, on Friday, Aug. 22.

Under the leadership of second-year head coach Matt Wibbels, the Wolves carry over plenty of young talent from last season but will need to replace ’25 standout quarterback Zayden Stevens, among other key contributors.
