(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs’ largest school district will discuss a proposal on Thursday, Feb. 15 to arm teachers and staff.

Academy District 20 would be working with the ‘FASTER’ (Faculty & Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response) program to do this.

The Colorado-based program offers teachers firearm and emergency response training.

School leaders will discuss the proposal on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. during a board meeting at the District’s Education and Administration Center.
