Ambassadors for Hope Golf Tournament supports fight against human trafficking

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Ambassadors for Hope Golf Tournament is coming to Garden of the Gods Kissing Camels Course on Monday, Oct. 6, but this tournament is about a lot more than golf.

Chelsey Valerio, Marketing Manager at Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group, and Dirk Hobbs, CEO and Founder of Colorado Media Group, joined FOX21 Morning News on Thursday, Sept. 18, to talk about what participants can expect and the important cause the tournament benefits.

Valerio said the idea came from a coffee conversation and a shared desire to help the community. “Our two groups came together and we formulated the Ambassadors for Hope,” said Valerio.

The tournament benefits The Exodus Road, which partners with law enforcement to fight human trafficking. “We want to bring light to this so people can have honest conversations about it,” said Hobbs.

Participants will receive breakfast and lunch along with a premier golf experience. Pre-registration is required, and players must be signed up by Oct. 3.
