(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the bicyclist killed in a crash on May 31 has been identified as 44-year-old Thomas Kenny by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

According to CSPD, on Saturday, May 31, at around 8:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Stone Avenue and Nichols Boulevard near North Nevada Avenue and East Fillmore Street about a vehicle vs bicycle crash. When police arrived, they found Kenny suffering from serious injuries. Medical personnel arrived, and Kenny was taken to the hospital.

Police were notified on Friday, June 6, that Kenny had died due to his injuries from the crash. CSPD is still investigating the crash.

This is the 16th fatal crash in 2025; at this time last year, there were 24 fatalities.
