(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a bicyclist was injured in a crash on South Powers Boulevard in the afternoon hours of Monday, Sept. 9.

According to CSPD, on Monday a little before 3 p.m. officers were called to a crash on S. Powers Blvd. north of Airport Road. When officers arrived they learned a man riding a bike attempted to cross S. Powers Blvd. and was hit by a vehicle traveling south.

The man was taken to the hospital and CSPD said alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
