Bloody apartment near HWY 24 prompts investigation by CSPD

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a bloody scene near Highway 24 after a caller reported they found a person who they weren’t sure was alive.

At around 6:55 a.m. on Monday, April 14, the CSPD Communications Center received a call from someone in the 1300 block of Inverness Drive, off Highway 24, about a “lot of blood” in an apartment building and a bloody person in a car, whom the caller wasn’t sure was alive.

Upon arrival, officers found that the person inside the car was alive but needed medical attention, and they were taken to the hospital.

Officers also found the apartment where the person lived and are now trying to determine the cause of the injuries and if it was a domestic violence situation.
