(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) reported that it had found a deceased person whose appearance matched a missing 97-year-old from Falcon.
On Saturday, Jan. 25, EPSO received a missing person report for 97-year-old Corrye Brewer, who was visiting family in the Falcon area. According to the sheriff’s office, at the time of the report, she had not been seen for nearly 24 hours.
Due to extreme weather conditions over the past day, K9 Deputies and the El Paso County Search and Rescue were deployed to help locate her. Throughout the night, EPSO detectives supported these efforts by conducting interviews and following leads.
While searching for Brewer on Sunday, Jan. 26, officers found a deceased woman whose physical description matched Brewer’s near Judge Orr Road and Calhan Highway. Brewer was last seen in the 9000 block of Rockingham Drive, near Londonberry Drive.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office will officially identify the individual and determine the cause and manner of death.
