Broncos coach arrested, booked into Denver jail

DENVER (KDVR) — An outside linebackers coach for the Denver Broncos was arrested on Sunday.

According to Denver County Jail records, Michael Wilhoite, 38, was arrested and booked on a charge of second-degree assault to a peace officer. According to the record, he will appear in court Monday at 10:30 a.m.

FOX31 confirmed Wilhoite’s arrest with the Broncos and received the following statement.

“We are aware of a situation involving Michael Wilhoite that occurred Sunday and are in the process of gathering more information,” said a spokesperson with the team.

Wilhoite was hired by the Broncos in 2023 as an outside linebackers coach. Previously, he played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2012-2016 and played one season with the Seattle Seahawks.
