(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) has confirmed that several staff members were involved in an off-duty incident in Pueblo earlier in July.
According to the CDOC, several off-duty staff members from the Centennial Correctional Facility were involved in an incident in Pueblo on Thursday, July 10. The incident is being investigated by the Pueblo Police Department, CDOC said.
“At this time, no staff are on administrative leave,” said a spokesperson for the DOC. “Administrative leave is a critical tool the Department uses to ensure the integrity of an investigation and the welfare of our staff. The decision to use it is made based on the specific circumstances of each incident.”
