(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Thursday, July 17, Greccio Housing, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Ministry and Woodmen Valley Chapel, broke ground on a new affordable housing development at East Woodmen and Marksheffel Roads.
The new development, named Sunrise at Shiloh Mesa, is part of a master-planned and multi-purpose community in the northeast corner of East Woodmen and Marksheffel Roads. The new development will feature 50 housing units.
The development is the result of a collaboration between organizations, made possible with a land donation from the Center for Strategic Ministry and a service agreement with Woodmen Heights volunteers.
“The cost of housing is a critical factor in our community and our ability for our people, our next generation to live here and for our seniors to live safely and securely in the community that they’ve committed to all their lives,” said Lee Patke, Executive Director at Greccio Housing.
This development represents Greccio Housing’s second senior housing project after Atrium at Austin Bluffs launched in 2019.
