(AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — On Wednesday, Aug. 7 the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) welcomed the Class of 2028 into the Cadet Wing with an Acceptance Day parade and ceremony.

On Aug. 2 the Class of 2028 completed Basic Cadet Training allowing them to move to the Cadet Wing of USAFA. Along with a parade a ceremony took place where cadets were given their first shoulder board rank insignia.

The event was also the first opportunity that families had to visit their cadets since In-processing Day on June 26. A parents’ weekend is scheduled for the end of August.
