DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado has multiple award-winning, five-star hotels, and a handful of them are some of the best places to stay in the nation, according to new U.S. News and World Report rankings.
Each year for 15 years, U.S. News and World Report ranks hotels based on several factors and requirements, such as a hotel’s awards, reviews, class rating, guest rating, accommodations and more.
“U.S. News is the only organization to evaluate hotels by taking into account the aggregate opinion of published travel experts through industry awards and the overall customer satisfaction expressed in online guest reviews,” the publication said in a press release.
The rankings for 2025 were released Tuesday. Understandably, many of the country’s top-ranked hotels and resorts are in warm and tropical areas like Hawaii. However, one place in Colorado’s snowy high country was good enough to rank among the best of the best.
