(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) and Police Department (CSPD) are currently responding to a crash involving a truck near the Stratton Meadows neighborhood.

At around 12:08 p.m., CSPD Communications reported via X (formerly known as Twitter) that both CSFD and CSPD were responding to a crash at Highway 24 and I-25 and that eastbound traffic was blocked at the Martin Luther King Jr Bypass.

According to CSFD, the driver of the truck had minor injuries. The fire department also said Hazmat was on the scene working to contain a small leak from the fuel tank.

COtrip also reported two right lanes were closed due to the crash.

CSPD and CSFD are asking drivers to seek an alternate route at this time, and slower speeds are advised.
