(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A study found that Colorado Springs is among America’s top ten mid-sized cities for economic growth.
The study named the top ten Boomtowns that have emerged post-pandemic and have fostered economic growth through employment rates, trade activity, population growth and other indicators that showcase a city is thriving.
Colorado Springs landed at the tenth spot for economic growth in mid-sized cities between 250,000 to 500,000 population. Between 2018 and 2022, the city saw the 8th-highest growth amongst the 46 mid-sized cities that were analyzed. COS also saw the 10th-highest growth in employment rate with a 29% increase in median earnings.
In addition, the city also had the 9th highest growth in education attainment.

Gilbert, Arizona
Jersey City, New Jersey
Chandler, Arizona
St. Petersburg, Florida
Stockton, California
Orlando, Florida
Tampa, Florida
Atlanta, Georgia
Newark, New Jersey
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Denver also landed on the top 20 Boomtowns with over 500,000 population, they ranked at #13.
