(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs announced that a variety of events are available to the community to take part in the celebration of Bike Month during June.
Bike to Work Day returns on Wednesday, June 25, when riders can get a free breakfast at any of the more than 30 breakfast stations on the urban trail system or at local businesses throughout the city from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Local businesses around the city will host free bike clinics on the days leading up to Bike to Work Day to educate the public on topics such as purchasing a used bicycle, bike maintenance, safety equipment, and more.
“We’re excited to highlight our city’s incredible cycling infrastructure throughout Bike Month, including the Legacy Loop, Rock Island Trail, and Pikes Peak Greenway,” said Kerry Childress, City of Colorado Springs Multimodal Program Manager. “On Bike to Work Day, we encourage everyone to leave their cars behind and enjoy the ride.”
Breakfast stations and bike clinics are first-come, first-served and do not require registration. To learn more about the bike clinics, breakfast stations, or to plan your route, click on the link above.
