According to the survey, Pikes Peak Highway landed in the top three, placing third in the best locations in the United States, preceded by Hana Highway in Maui, Hawaii, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The top five were rounded out by Lookout Mountain Parkway in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Other locations in Colorado were Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, Morrison, and Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.
