(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Lieutenant Stefanie Allan, a native of Colorado Springs, was recently awarded the Elizabeth Guild Award for Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine for her work in audiology and hearing conservation.

Elizabeth Guild was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who helped develop new ear protection devices for various roles in the military. Allan’s work includes auditory exams and prescribing non-medical treatment to conserve or improve communication for Navy personnel.

Allan, also a 2010 graduate of Air Academy High School, joined the Navy in 2020 and has served overseas in Japan and Hawaii.
