(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a shooting that happened in east Colorado Springs on Monday afternoon, March 18.

According to CSPD, officers responded to the shooting at 2 p.m. on Monday, which happened in the 5500 block of Constitution Avenue near Powers Boulevard.

CSPD said one person was taken to the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds.

“At this time, we believe this is an isolated incident and officers on scene are working to develop suspect information,” said Caitlin Ford, Sr. Public Communications Specialist for CSPD. “At this time, a suspect is not in custody.”
