Colorado State Patrol: Trooper arrested in Alamosa

(ALAMOSA, Colo.) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) announced that one of their Patrol members was arrested by the Alamosa Police Department (APD) on Saturday, Aug. 9.

Trooper Brandon Stevens, 27, was arrested at his home, suspected of Domestic Violence and Second-Degree Assault. CSP said that he was immediately placed on administrative leave. Stevens’ Advisement Hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11 in Alamosa County court.

“The Colorado State Patrol and its members are here to ensure the safety of all persons and to adhere our core values of honor, duty, and respect. We take these standards seriously and recognize that the success of our mission depends upon maintaining the trust and the safety of the public we serve. We respect and defer to the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and our judicial system regarding this charge,” CSP said in an official statement.

Stevens joined the CSP in April 2023, and worked at the Alamosa Troop Office since finishing his Academy training in the fall of 2023.
