Community notification for supervised release of Sexually Violent Predator

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) issued a community notification for a person on supervised release, and probation, who has been deemed a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) by the 4th Judicial District Court.

CSPD said 25-year-old Kailan Rodriguez Marion is described as a Black man, 5’10”, 250 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

According to CSPD, Marion’s criminal history shows he was convicted of two counts of Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child in El Paso County in 2024. Marion also has convictions in El Paso County for First Degree Criminal Trespass, Forgery, and Theft.

Marion is registered at 5 West Las Vegas Street, and CSPD takes his presence very seriously and will make sure he conducts himself in a lawful manner.

Along with community notification, CSPD has also:

Notified the Division of Criminal Justice’s Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) Notification Team.

Reviewed and confirmed Marion’s residence, employment, access to vehicles, legal status, and past crimes.

Made notifications to neighbors and businesses deemed to be in the immediate area.

Briefed patrol personnel on Marion’s status, history, appearance, residence, employment, and vehicles.

Notified surrounding law enforcement agencies.

Provided an online video that describes the SVP community notification process, SVP information, and additional resources for the community.
