CPW warns homeowners to remove hazards after buck rescue

(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is warning homeowners about leaving hazards that can trap, injure, and kill animals.

CPW posted a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) showing a buck tangled in a playground and thrashing wildly. The buck was exhausted and vulnerable to predators.

With help from the Woodland Park Police Department, CPW officers were able to tase the buck and cut it free, before the buck then walked off.

CPW said it is critical to remove hazards such as sports nets and playgrounds that pose chronic threats, and said holiday decorations are dangerous as well.
