(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (CSDB) celebrated its commencement ceremony on Friday, May 23.
Recognized at the ceremony were seventeen seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired. Many of the graduates have attended CSDB since they were in elementary school.
“I think I’m going to conquer the world and keep the same mindset as I had here into my future endeavors,” said CSDB 2025 Valedictorian Mikayla Hernandez. “And being an alumni… it really hasn’t sunk in for me yet that I am now considered an alum, and I’m no longer in high school. But… it just honestly feels so great.”
FOX21 News spoke with several graduates on Friday, who said they were excited to further their education in music and photography.
