CSFD: Fire contained to one apartment unit, minor injuries

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said an overnight fire at an apartment complex injured one person on Monday, Feb. 26.

According to CSFD, on Monday at around 3:45 a.m. firefighters were called to the scene of a fire at the Greentree Village Apartments in the 3500 block of North Carefree Circle about a smoke alarm going off and smoke was coming from a bedroom.

CSFD said crews were on scene within minutes and had water on the fire. The fire was contained to one bedroom, and one person was taken to the hospital for smoke related injuries. No other occupants will be displaced except for those living in the apartment where the fire was.
