(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is asking people to avoid the area of South Union Boulevard and Hancock Expressway due to a grass fire in the area.
CSFD posted on social media at around 8:40 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26 that fire crews were on the scene of the grass fire and said that all southbound Union traffic is shut down at East Fountain Boulevard.

Fire crews are asking the public to avoid the area while crews work to extinguish the fire. “Community members: DO NOT drive through an active emergency scene,” wrote CSFD. “You put our firefighters at risk as they’re working to mitigate the situation.”
