(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) reported that crews are responding to a grass fire in the area of I-25 and South Tejon Street.

According to CSFD, smoke is visible from several parts of the city and multiple units are on scene attacking the fire.

CSFD asks that people avoid the area and not pull over to the side of the interstate to take pictures and videos during a grass fire. According to CSFD, being on the side of the interstate puts you at risk, and winds could shift, putting you in direct line of the fire. Additionally, it puts CSFD crews at risk because it clogs up possible access points to the fire, and could slow and delay them if they have to move people out of the way.
