(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Several 911 calls were received about shots fired in multiple locations on the southeast side of Colorado Springs on Saturday, Feb. 8. When police arrived at the scene, they found two shooting victims, one dead and one injured.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the calls came in around 11 a.m. reporting shots fired in the 37009 block of El Morro Road, near Chelton Road and South Academy Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found indications that a gun had been fired, but no victims.
Ten minutes later, another call came in reporting shots fired a couple of blocks south of the first incident, in the 2600 block of Granada Drive. CSPD reported that when officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had been involved with two shooting victims inside. One man appeared to have died from gunshot wounds, and the other man had non-life-threatening wounds. He was taken to the hospital.
