(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, June 4, the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to help rescue the occupants of a truck that had fallen down an embankment off Old Stage Road in the Cheyenne Mountain area.
According to CSFD, crews responded around 1 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of people trapped on Old Stage Road. When crews arrived, they found a truck that had been carrying a refrigeration unit 75 feet down an embankment.
The people in the truck were not trapped inside, but they needed help making it up the embankment, CSFD said.
A rope system was set up to help the people make it up the hill, and all were successfully rescued. Three people were in the truck, and two were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
