(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is sending resources to help fight the Quarry Fire in Jefferson County.

The Quarry Fire ignited late Tuesday, July 30, and has since grown to 200 acres with 0% containment, threatening over 500 homes. 75 firefighters are on the ground and multiple support aircraft were ordered.

As of 11:30 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said no structures have been damaged but resources are spread thin due to multiple fires burning along the front range.

CSFD will be adding resources to battle the fire-threatening homes in Jefferson County.
