(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is seeking the public’s help to continue caring for pets at the shelter.
HSPPR announced on Tuesday, July 30, that it’s conducting a donation drive. The shelter said summer is their busiest time of the year.
“Over 750 animals, including both locations and foster, are in our care,” wrote HSPPR. “The shelter is overflowing with cuteness, and you can help shelter pets with a treat, toy, or pet supply donation.”
Items on HSPPR’s wishlist include:
Unopened dog and cat treats.
Cat toys and shelter-safe dog toys such as Nylabones, Kongs, and Superchewers.
Puppy Pads.
Peanut Butter.
Clean, good condition, full-sized towels.
Paper towels.
Feliway calming spray for cats.
“Every donation helps a wagging tail,” said the post on Facebook. Those who’d like to donate but don’t want to make the drive to the Humane Society can do so online by purchasing items on their Amazon wishlist.
For those who’d like to come and drop items off, donations can be dropped off at the Colorado Springs Adoption Center located at 610 Abbot Lane.
