(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department said crews are at a house fire near downtown and are asking the public to avoid the area.

CSFD posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27 that crews were at a home in the 600 block of East Boulder Street near East Platte and Wahsatch Avenues for a house fire.

CSFD said the fire was under control shortly before 8 p.m., though the public is asked to avoid the area as E. Boulder St. is closed.
