CSPD: Blood-like substance coming from balcony above

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers were called to a home on Barnes Road east of North Powers Boulevard about what appeared to be a blood pool coming from a balcony above the caller’s.

According to CSPD, on Sunday, July 21 at around 9 a.m. officers were called to 6300 block of Barnes Rd. about a report from a caller that they had a pool of blood on their balcony that was coming from the above balcony.

Police responded and tried to get a response from the home but were unsuccessful and, based on the information and evidence gained on the scene, forced entry into the home. CSPD said officers talked with four people inside the home and the suspected blood was determined to be something else that resembled blood. All people in the home were found to be in good health and did not require medical help.

One person in the home, identified as Joseph Holzmiller was arrested on unrelated warrants.
