CSPD: Crash caused by distracted driving injures two

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Peterson Road was blocked between Lyndhurst Drive and Cold Springs Drive for several hours on Sunday, Dec. 8, due to a crash that sent two people to the hospital, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said that when officers and crews from the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to the 6900 block of Peterson Rd., around 9:45 a.m., they found that two vehicles were involved. Two people involved in the crash were sent to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Northbound and southbound Peterson Road was closed until around 1 p.m. on Sunday. According to CSPD, the cause is suspected to be due to distracted driving, and no alcohol or drugs are believed to have been involved.
