(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Police are on the scene of a possible train vs. pedestrian crash on the south side of Downtown Colorado Springs on Monday, June 9.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to the area of 910 South Sierra Madre after receiving a 911 call reporting that a train potentially hit a pedestrian, leading to the death of one person.
CSPD reported that around 2 p.m. on Monday, officers received the call and responded to the area near West Las Vegas Street.
According to CSPD, at this time, the initial investigation shows that this was likely a death by suicide, but the investigation is continuing.
