(PIKES PEAK REGION, Colo.) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is celebrating crossing 5,000 adoptions since January, and is thanking the community for its help.
HSPPR said the adoptions were not the only successes of the shelter so far in 2025. HSPPR has:
Reunited 1,885 lost pets
Medically rehabilitated 3,364 animals
Supported 693 animals through its behavior program
Cared for 488 community animals at its Wellness Waggin’ events
Helped 730 community cats through its TNR program
Given 947 animals the comfort of a foster home

“That’s thousands of lives changed. Pets who got a second chance when the world felt scary,” HSPPR said. “Families made whole again. Animals who were once overlooked now sleeping safe and sound in someone’s arms.”
HSPPR thanked the community for its compassion, generosity, and pure love that fueled the accomplishment of its adoption milestone.
